Krishna's Day Out

Krishna and her close-knit group of friends, including Vrinda, Aditya, Varaa, and Shivesh, decided to spend some time at Krishna's grandparents' home in the village.

One fine morning during the monsoon season, they set out to visit the temple in the nearby Shivesh village, accompanied by Krishna's beloved Dadaji. The surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful, with lush green trees casting a vibrant hue over the landscape and a majestic river flowing gracefully nearby. The ancient temple of Lord Shiva stood proudly amidst the verdant scenery, enveloped by a canopy of trees, creating a scene straight out of a painting. The melodious chirping of birds added a lively touch to the tranquil morning, while the gentle sunbeams illuminated the earth, captivating everyone's attention.

As they admired the serene vista, Krishna, ever curious, posed a question to Dadaji saying, “Dadaji, how big is the tree in front of this! How old is it?”

Dadaji, with a warm smile, revealed “That tree is about 250 years old, my child” and they all begun to admire the beauty they were experiencing.

Shivesh was surprised. “Wow, that's amazing.”

Dadaji replied politely “Yes, my children! and the people of the village also worship that tree.”

Shivesh asked with little confusion “Worship? But this is a tree. Why worship it?”

Dadaji answered the children politely “ our culture, trees hold a special place in the hearts of the villagers, revered as a deity in our culture, particularly as a symbol of Lord Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. The Banyan tree is equated with Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh in our culture.”

Vaara in excitement, exclaimed “Wow, that's amazing”

Vrinda spoke in surprise “what a morning guys! People living here get a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature every day.”

Aditya replied to Vrinda with exclaimed “how beautiful and peaceful this morning looks compared to that polluted morning in the city.”

Krishna said Yes, Friends, how much do we harm nature by our selfishness?.

Dadaji: Yes, children, the morning in our village is very pleasant and fresher than your city morning.

Vrinda starts to criticise city life and says “Here in the morning, we hear not the irritating sound of those vehicles but the sweet sound of birds. Friends, how peaceful this morning is!”

Varaa stopped walking and pointed to the bird “Look at that bird's garland. How beautiful it is!”

Shivesh asked “Dadaji, what is the name of that bird?”

Krishna was excited “Dadaji, I know! I know! From my understanding, it is a bird called Sugri (Baya weaver). Right?”

Dadaji replied to her, “ Yes, Beta, you are absolutely right.” and inform them “When Sugri (baya weaver) leaves its nest, people take it to their house and decorate it.”

Varaa: Oh wow, it's the best way to use natural things to decorate, Friends

Vrinda was happy to see the beautiful view of the river and said in surprise “Wow, amazing! Look at that riverside. How beautiful and marvellous the view is, guys!”

Aditya explained the beauty of river “Yeh, bro. As if a red carpet had been shaped on the big stage to welcome a pretty girl, the sun spreads its rays on the water of the river. It's really gorgeous!”

Krishna: Yes, Adi, absolutely beautiful, as pretty as me.

Aditya said mockingly “Oh, Krishna, you did not listen properly. I said, "A beautiful and pretty girl.”

Krishna jokingly replied to Aditya and said “Shut up, Adi. I look better than you.”

Dadaji called the children and said First, we will go to the Shiva temple. Then let's go ahead.

(After the worship, they continue on their journey.)

Vrinda saw the peacock and spoke in surprise “Hey, check out that peacock, guys! It's displaying its vibrant feathers.”

Shivesh was also surprised to see the peacocks “Wow, they're so colourful! And look, there's a baby peacock too!”

Varaa said This is my first time seeing a peacock up close.

Aditya speaks with grief that Peacocks are a rare sight in the city. It's been ages since I last saw one.

Vrinda , “It's sad how we've encroached on their habitat due to our selfishness.”

Krishna regretted “We've advanced to 5G with technology, but at what cost? We're losing these beautiful creatures as we replace green forests with concrete jungles of buildings.”

Vrinda: What a serene morning. If I hadn't come here, I wouldn't have experienced this breathtaking view of nature. Thank you, O Krishna, Rama!

Aditya: You're spot on, Vrindu. Thanks for this, Krishna.

After remaining silent for some time, dadaji said “It's easy to sympathise, but we must raise awareness to protect them.”

Varaa: Sadly, in this fast-paced life, no one seems to have the time. We're all like machines.

Returning home, the friends spent the rest of the day in a joyous environment, cherishing the simplicity and tranquillity of village life. As evening approached, they expressed gratitude for the opportunity to experience the beauty of nature and vowed to raise awareness about conservation efforts.

Varaa, soaking in the tranquillity, remarked, "Isn't village life so rejuvenating?"

Aditya expressed his longing, saying, "I wish to dwell here forever. The serenity and simplicity of this place are unmatched in the bustling city."
Dadaji announced their plan for the next morning, saying, "Tomorrow, we'll visit the 'Vaav,' a heritage site that has stood for 586 years."

The children responded in unison, "Okay, Dadaji. Good night."
